Packed and ready! It can hardly be more stripped down than this, without sacrificing form and function for the sake of it. When atelier Lyktan and Stefan Borselius created BUD and BUDDY, they took a bold and environmental stance; the packaging is the fixture.
Instead of removing and discarding the styrofoam when the product is unpacked, atelier Lyktan and designer Stefan Borselius have produced a fixture in heat-resistant, impact-resistant and durable cellular plastic that actually constitutes the product itself. Through its special property, the cellular plastic lets a pleasant light through, while the light is reflected in the material. "The clean, straight shape with its distinct corners makes BUD a modern, shapely lighting fixture that fits architectural spaces and modern homes well," says Stefan Borselius.
BUD is intended for energy lamps, the dimensions are 25x25 cm and the fixture is open at the bottom.
