Hanna Järlehed 's work often revolves around an interest in ceramic materials and their expression. For a long time, water in various forms has been a recurring theme, but more recently also forests and moss-covered trees. She mixes stoneware and porcelain clay, which she then shapes freely into objects that can support my glazes. She usually works with transparent glazes in thick layers which are then reduction fired in a combined electric and gas kiln.
Hanna was educated at the University of Design and Crafts in Gothenburg, 1993-1998, and has since been working as a ceramicist in the studio association Chokladfabriken in Majorna Gothenburg.
