Studio Corkinho is a recognized design studio in Antwerp with a minimalist design language, working with natural materials such as cork. Their love for cork is a strong driving force that has lifted cork from a historical tradition to modern architecture around the world.
Production takes place in Portugal close to where the cork is harvested. A "Slow" production that begins with the tree taking 9 years to form the bark, which is then harvested by hand according to a hundred-year-old tradition. 100% organic material. The cork is burnt which gives it its unique dark shade and durability.
Recently, Studio Corkinho also produces products in other materials such as stone, linen, etc. They primarily design interior design projects in collaboration with architects.
