Mirja Ilkka is painter from Helsinki. She has painted all her life. Mirja Ilkka studied at the University of Lapland 2000-2001 and the University of Art and Design (Aalto) 2001-2007. 

"I paint until I don’t know anymore what to do with the painting and then I stop. To me the painting process is like being on the way to somewhere; watching, smelling, meeting people. Surprises. Always and never ready. If you are lucky, then sometimes you feel that now it’s enough."
